Reasons for Subway’s Magnificent Growth

The Subway food chain has become of the biggest success stories in recent memory involving the food industry. It’s amazing that a simple shop that makes submarine sandwiches has done so well, but I have narrowed it down to three simple reasons.
One major reason for Subway’s success is the health factor. Subway, unlike McDonald’s and other burger chains, doesn’t offer food that’s loaded with saturated fats, salts, and cholesterol. People appreciate this, as the general public has become more concerned with what it eats in recent years.
It wasn’t until a guy named Jared though became the face of eating fresh and healthy. Jared lost a lot of weight by exercising and eating the healthiest subs. The advertising campaign has been a major success.
Another factor responsible for the brand’s success is its competitive price for food. When the economy went bad, Subway was a major responder to such adversity, offering its 12-inch subs for just five dollars per sandwich.
For 5 dollars, you can get a decent amount of their subs. The nice, round price that can be paid with one bill has led to a song and tons of sales.
3. Location, location, location. The Subway Restaurants are pretty small. Therefore, they can fit basically anywhere. You will find them in gas stations, strip malls and in towns with less than a thousand people.
Unlike a Mcdonald’s or Burger King that typically carves out big locations, Subways are small and therefore have lower overhead.
Between the price, the health, and the convenience, the reasons for loving Subway are many. It should come as no surprise that this brand continues to grow in popularity.
