You got to get existed when you see those TV commercials about easy weight loss. By now the world knows the secret to loosing weight overnight and not changing your eating habits, and oh yea, you’ll never gain it back!

This get really existing when you are told that you won’t need to exercise, just buy and take their magic pills and your weight loss problem is gone. If your like most of the US population and could stand to lose weight, you probably know better than to believe this crap, but deep down you just want it to work.

I want to help you break that pattern and give you some tips about weight loss that is true. I’m writing this article to tell people the truth about weight loss.

I’m going to start out by saying something that might seem like a cop-out, but it really could be a genetic problem that your over weight. The truth is that even if this is part of the problem, we still probably have not been eating healthy, or doing much extra to burn calories.

We need to admit that mom and dad’s family tree didn’t cause all our weight issues, and that we bear at least some of the responsibility Even thought the family tree might have some weight issues, that that passed to you, you need to understand you still made choices in your life that didn’t help.

What people don’t understand is this is not as much about weight loss as it is about lifestyle changes. . The hard cold facts are you have no choice, if you don’t want to cheat yourself and your family out of years of your life.

Now that your totally mad at me for putting all the blame on you for being over weight, let me suggest that you do go to your doctor and have a check-up to rule out any medical problems that could be causing you to not lose weight. This is always a good idea anyway, because your Doctor can let you know if there are any medical reasons why you can’t a weight loss program. If your lucky you have a Doctor that understands something about real weight lose, and they will be able to help you set some realistic goals.

Even if you don’t get help from your Doctor, it is important that you set realistic goals before you start your plan.. Realistic goals are ones that do challenge you, but are not so far out of reach that your going to give up before you get there. If you need to lose a lot of weight, you can’t set your goal for the whole amount at once, you need to set goals is steps.

The best way to do this if you find out you want to lose 50 lbs, would be to first figure out how fast you should safely loose 50 pounds. Set your long term goal for that target, and then set monthly and even weekly goals.

Now we are ready for the fun stuff, You now need to implement the calorie burning part of the plan, other wise know as exercise. The best way to start out is to plan on walking for at least an half hour every day. Your going to fill muscles in your legs and arms that you might of forgot about for some years. This is a good sign!

Your goal should be that within two weeks you are walking up to a mile. Your going to find that one day your going to be walking faster, because you are building more strength and lung power. You’ll get the most out of your thirty minutes of walking if you go fast enough to get your heart rate up to around 120 beats per minute.

If you read this entire article, you are now armed with many tips on how to begin to lose weight. Now there is one more thing you need to do, before any of this works. You need to put them into action and stop with the excuses, this is not that hard and your life does depend on it.
