It is important to understand how conception actually works before you plan your baby’s gender. Female eggs consist of X chromosomes and male sperm of either Y or X Chromosomes. The man’s sperm chromosome of either X or Y will determine if it’s a boy or a girl. X chrome sperm produce girls and Y chrome sperm, boys. The foods you consume affects the body’s pH levels which in turn affect the vagina’s pH level. The higher your vagina’s pH levels the quicker Y chromes also known as male sperm will die thus it’s highly recommended that you keep pH levels neutral by steering clear from foods known to raise the body’s acid levels. Dietary supplements are also often recommend however the potency and effectiveness of these supplements on their own leaves much to be desired. As for accuracy, both methods fall within the 68-70% range for conceiving a boy.
The process of sperm filtering is known as the Ericsson Method where faster Y sperm are separated from the slower X sperm. Of all the various gender selection methods the Billings Method is most complicated comprising of charting and constant observing. The centuries-old Chinese Birth Chart with it’s rumored 90% accuracy, employ the mother’s lunar age and month of planned conception to predict the baby’s gender. Keep in mind that the regular calendar will not yield the same results.
